1 Year. 1 Month. And 1 week.

That's how long it's been since my last blog post. And holy wow, does it feel vulnerable and shaky to be here again. And also, exciting!

Here's a run through of the show of my life that straddled the last half of 2014 and the first half of 2015:

1. Me and my sweetheart (now husband) moved in with my now in-laws.

After we got our puppies Hero and Halo, we had to move out of our 1 bedroom apartment in Oakland. Because the Bay Area is just downright crazy in terms of housing, we moved in with my husband's parents for a few months to save up some money while I looked for a job to supplement my private practice.

After we got engaged in September, the slippery slope of time quickly turned into living there for a year. I won't get into the all-too-personal details of our experience, but I will say that we both learned many valuable lessons.

My greatest take-away from the experience is that nothing is truly free. Everything is an energy exchange. Time is money and money is energy and energy is everything.

Nothing really comes to us without an expectation of some form of energy in return. Whether it's time, money, attention, support, assistance, etc. So even though we were technically saving money, it took a lot of other type of energy to live with his parents every day for a year. I have lived on my own since age 18 so this was a gigantic adjustment for my free-spirited soul.

So I repeat, everything is an energy exchange. Trust me on this one.

The great new is that we finally moved into our own place on July 1st after a headache of a time of apartment hunting with our two dogs in the Bay Area (the most expensive area in the country). So, can I get a 'yay!'? We are now all cozied up in our newly renovated studio in the East Bay close to my husband's chiropractic school. We are beyond stoked.

2. We became a new family - officially!

My love proposed on September 1st 2014, which was our 3 year anniversary, and we married on gorgeous Sunday, April 26th, 2015. You can read more about it on our wedding website here.

The months leading up to the wedding were incredibly jam-packed because I also started a full-time job as an Admissions Counselor at Sofia University, a transpersonal psychology school in Silicon Valley.

The wedding planning was super-fun, creative, and an all-consuming project for me. I will share the details in a separate post in the nearish future. Stay tuned for pics and tips and all that jazz.

The wedding itself was pure love, filled with so much intention and spirit, and as cliche as it sounds, was the best day of our lives so far. It turned out even better than my imagination dreamed up.

I pulled the astrological chart for the wedding day at the time of our "I Do's" and wrote a little sumpin-sumpin that I plan to share, also in the nearish future.

3. Welcoming the New…and, the out breath.

The past year I was super productive in many ways, and also in hyper-consumption mode between pinterest, instagram, and greenweddingshoes. I absorbed so many ideas and inspiration, but instead of sharing it with my peeps, I've been hoarding all of my insights. Well, it's time to start cooking something good with all of that, so I'm entrusting myself with the commitment to bring them forward this year - while it's still 2015.

I'm especially feeling this commitment to new practices since tomorrow is a New Moon in Cancer and I have some very special new beginnings in the works. With these changes, I bring the motivation and commitment to use this sacred space as one that reflects my life journey and hopefully supports and inspires others on theirs.

4. Seeing Pluto's Face for the First Time

We made our way to Pluto today. Can you even deal with the heart-shape image on its terrain? I am floored. So powerful, so far away, so out of reach for all of this time, until today. It's exceptionally powerful too for all that Pluto represents to us astrologically: power, the underworld and unconscious, the shadow, obsession, sex, transformation, death and rebirth...come the f*^k on. This is big time.

And why is it such a big deal? Because every time we make contact with a planet with our own little human eyes and our technology, there's a shift in our collective consciousness around the themes associated with that planet. So, it seems like the time has come, we're waking up to Pluto in all its glory. It's time for our inner Phoenix to rise and emerge from our personal ashes, simply magnificent, radiant, and ready to shine.

So there ya have it. I'm back in action. Let me know what you want to learn about, I'm happy to address it in an upcoming blog post!
